The Lakers will be trying to make a big splash in summer 2018 and LeBron James could be part of it.

It’s been well known that the Lakers will be trying to make a big splash in the 2018 free agency class. The big names that the Lakers are rumored to be pursuing are Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and DeMarcus Cousins just to name a few. One name that we didn’t expect to come up is LeBron James. Could LeBron really think about leaving Cleveland and head West? ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski shares his thoughts on Rob Pelinka (Lakers GM) is recruiting LeBron James’ camp to the Lakers. Wojnarowski also says, “The Lakers are in full Paul George mode from now until July 1st of next year”. “It started the day they took over”, Wojnarowski on Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka.

James will be the biggest free agent in 2018 and a player of his caliber can completely change the Lakers franchise. The team already has an exciting nucleus of Lonzo Ball, Jordan Clarkson, Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle and Larry Nance Jr. LeBron did go to a summer league game and watched the Lakers/Sixers game. The Lakers will be linked to many big names this upcoming season leading into the summer of next year. If the Lakers can somehow land two max free agents, then there will be a whole new ball game in the Western Conference.
