Xavier Henry is leaving quite an impression on the Lakers and fans
The former University of Kansas Jayhawk, Xavier Henry, has come out of nowhere and the Lakers and their fans have taken notice. Henry started his NBA career with the Grizzlies when he was picked 12th overall in the 2010 NBA draft. He then joined the New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans) as part of a trade that sent Maurice Speights to the Grizzlies. Henry never really made a dent as a scorer with both of those teams as he has only averaged 4.5 points per game. With a fresh start and trying to make a roster spot with the Lakers, it seems as if Henry is more forthcoming and energized. In his first preseason game with the Lakers, Henry dropped 29pts off the bench. In yesterdays game against the Nuggets he scored 15pts. Those are some impressive numbers even though these are preseason games. He's getting praise on social media such as Twitter and Facebook. Henry certainly has the capabilities to play in the NBA and possibly make it on the Lakers roster. He just has to stay consistent and the skies the limit for this kid.
